Just wanna update you guys the PCLL offer of CUHK. The programme team just finished the panel meeting and started calling people to confirm the offer verbally today (16Aug2019). Fortunately, I was being one of them even tho my GPA is not impressive at all.
I got a cGPA of around 3.26 and I heard someone with cGPA of 3.31 got in too. Oh yes, I am a CUHK JD graduate and I got a distinction LL.M in City U before. Hope it helps a bit to you all. Thank you.”– Anonymous 2019.08.16

SJ前言：乎讀Law者，胸懷大志者也。DSE放榜，狀元們其中一個熱門神科，「法律系」始終佔一席位。無論近年幾多人「唱淡」法律行業前途，所謂爛船都有三分釘，曾經的金礦，含金量依然比不少行業甚至專業優勝。但對有幸可以考慮讀Law的同學，更大的問題，可能係潛伏期達4年的計時炸彈：究竟入唔入到PCLL？畢竟，雖然膠官教大家求學不是求分數，但誠然，對99.999%的凡夫俗子而言，做唔到律師就乜都假。
“中大官網報稱有 #高達八成 法律本科生可以入讀PCLL，獲得律師專業資格
但符合2018年 CGPA 3.228要求嘅學生只佔整體LLB學生一半
中大學生要成為律師，只能靠集齊6粒無限之石⋯⋯

入PCLL要 3.228 CGPA ，係咩概念？(話說在前頭，PCLL cut-off每兩年升0.004)
要理解呢個難度，首先要知道GDP係點計
眾所周知，GDP係計 Grade Point Average
即係將每一科嘅***排名***取平均
A=4.0 B=3.0 C=2.0 D=1.0，外加plus同min 正負0.3 (e.g. B+=3.3)
根據慣例，Law major 考試median ，即係係法律系入面嘅排名前50%，先拎到B嘅
每科拎A嘅只有前5%，即係頭6名
每科拎A-嘅只有之後嘅10%，即係頭18名
頭25-35%嘅人，就拎到B+
假設法律系有個成績中游嘅學生
考四科major，拎到兩科B+，兩科B
聽落好似幾好
但如果計平均，(3.3*2+3.0*2)/4 = 3.15
咁好遺憾，呢個成績已經唔夠入PCLL
又有一個江湖傳說，就係幾勁嘅人都試過C range
假設係 B+ B+ B C+(c-grade procedure)
成績就係 2.975
距離PCLL差 0.253
註：今屆year 2 sem 1頭25%嘅cut-off係 3.335，頭50%嘅cut-off係3.265，但未計year 3 死亡快車成績又死好多人 (而且year 2 sem 2有刑事法同Jurisprudence，成條curve向後退)
而如果你覺得可以用其他科屈grade
咁就要知道大學通識規定嘅mean係 B-
而且讀elective又要同各種外系專家競爭
例如讀與自然對戰要鬥Physics人
與人文對戰要對戰中大政政同社會學系人”
