CLP Group can be barely regard as a MNC, it has business in Hong Kong (CLPP), India, China etc. and the business is separated into different business group.

CLPE, although located in Hong Kong, is of a separate business group from CLPP.

Therefore, the prime difference between CLPP and CLPE is that, CLPP is a utility under Scheme of Control (SoC) that is for energy business (power generation / transmission / distribution), while CLPE is a contractor (of CLPP, Airport Authority, MTR etc.) to provide usually low voltage service.

In terms of pay grade and benefit, CLPP is of better benefit than CLPE. Most CLPP staff are permanent while CLPE staff usually is contract staff. moreover, the progression in CLPP is better, the assistant project manager in the review is already team leader level in CLPE while it is of the same grade as a engineer II (working level) in CLPP.

Although the salary point for that review (G1 grade) is pretty accurate and is same for both CLPP and CLPE.
