Vocation Placement Scheme 是什麼？ What is VPS?
“VPS is held in June and July each year, AO does not run a vacation placement scheme at any other time of the year.
10-12 students have the opportunity to spend 4 weeks in AO, spending two weeks in each of two different departments, working closely with our partners, associates and trainees.
Successful Australian students will be invited to participate during their term break in July.”

“Application start from 1 September [2018] if apply for [2019] VPS.
Deadline: COB HK time on 01 January 2019 (HK and UK based applicants); COB HK time on 01 March 2019 (AU based applicants).
Once submit the application online, you will need to complete an immersive video based Situational Judgement Test (SJT), which should take 20 minutes.
The SJT is designed to provide a realistic preview of what you may experience as a trainee at A&O. Instructions will be provided once you start the SJT.”

“AO runs a two stage interview process, and at these interviews you will meet members of HR and partners.
The first interview is based on your application form and will assess your skills, experience and your understanding of what it means to be a commercial lawyer at AO.
The second interview is a business case study. You will have a short time to work through the business case and prepare a brief presentation to deliver to your interviewer. The presentation will be followed by a discussion with your interviewer on the key points from the case study. This exercise is aimed at assessing your interest in business, commercial awareness, and ability to digest information and present your findings.
In the recruitment of trainee, AO especially looks for bilingual or trilingual students, particularly those speaking Cantonese or Putonghua, and reading and writing skills either with simplified or traditional Chinese.
Those with Northern Asian language skills, such as Korean and Japanese, are also encouraged to apply.”
