I am a fan of your site. Love the articles/insights provided by you and your team.
Sadly I am one of the competitors in the “2016 中環人鬥 OT 比賽” as you so described. However, after reading “其實，地產經紀都係人” I can’t help but to respond to the said article.
In a nutshell, I agree to disagree. Frankie dealt with estate agents (“EA”) because she was in the market for a property. With a bit of luck (I presume), she ended up with a competent and responsible EA.
I, on the other hand, deal with EAs on a different basis. I am one of the guys who followup with the paperwork after they close a deal. Albeit not part of my job description, in the end we are the guys who come in to mop up their shit. I recall trying to warn a junior EA of the potential consequences of the borderline misrepresentations he had made. His response as gold. I don’t recall his exact words, but in essence, it was along the lines of: “My regional director had his EA license previously suspended but now look where he is at. Living large. Hot chicks, exotic rides, fancy watches….” At that point I thought to myself, I will be seeing you again pal.
To be fair, I have come across competent and responsible EAs myself. However, they are of the minority.
Hope this helps to balance Frankie’s view.
